Customer login in the checkout by default is optional. It can be disabled completely or enforced at all times.
Optional
This is the default and recommended setting. Customers are able to check out as guest without having to login. New customers automatically have an account created at the completion of the checkout. New accounts don't have a password but one can be easily set by performing a password reset or clicking the invitation to activate their account which is in the order confirmation email by default.
Existing customers are able to login to retrieve their saved details and speed up the checkout flow.
Disabled
This option turns off login completely, hides the checkout as guest and login buttons in the checkout which leaves the guest checkout flow as the only option.
Required
When login is Required, the checkout as guest button is removed from the checkout, so only customers within existing account can purchase. This setting is useful for certain business to business e-commerce sites.
Allow logins using email addresses and
ezimerchant supports a number of third-party authorisation methods. The benefit to customers is that they can use an account they use regularly as the login method, meaning they don't have to remember yet another password.

Address Verification
The address verification feature of ezimerchant provides benefits to both the buyer and the merchant. For the buyer, address entry in the checkout is made significantly easier and faster by presenting address suggestions after just a few characters of the address are entered.
The benefit to the merchant is that addresses are valid delivery points, Ensuring that failed deliveries as a result of incorrectly entered addresses are significantly minimised if not completely eliminated, which saves time, money and frustration.

Fraud Data
Credit card fraud is a growing problem for online merchants. As the merchant, you are liable for fraudulent credit card transactions and possibly chargeback fees as well.
ezimerchant has teamed up with MaxMind to provide an industry leading Credit Card Fraud Detection tool to assist verifying the validity of orders. By reviewing & ranking information associated with the purchaser including location and internet settings, such as the following, a fraud score is calculated.
- IP City
- IP Latitude
- IP Longitude
- ISP of IP address
- Organisation of IP address
- Credit Card Issuing Bank
Currency Conversion
Currency conversion is supported by ezimerchant in both transactional and display modes. How it behaves depends on payment settings.
The buyers country is automatically detected based on their IP address when they visit the site, the cart and the checkout. Based on this their currency is known. If one or more of the payment methods supports the buyers currency, the price displayed will be the price in their currency. If not, then the price displayed will be the unconverted price in the merchants default currency together with a converted price in the buyer's currency in smaller text with a note to indicate that it is an estimate.
Currency conversion can be either disabled, enabled with daily rate updates at no additional cost or enabled with immediate for an annual fee.

Enabling this allows the customer to enter specific instructions on the payment page for their order. This information appears in your order in ezimerchant.
