Cancel Orders

Cancelling an order reverses any actions taken on the order. The following tasks are performed by ezimerchant as part of the cancellation process.

Payment refunded.

For automated payment methods the payment is automatically refunded when the order is cancelled. Some payment methods restrict how long after the original payment, it can be refunded. PayPal for example allows refunds for 60 days.

Product stock levels adjusted.

Products with stock control enabled have the stock on the order added back to stock on hand.

Customer emailed.

The cancel order screen has a field where a message to the customer can be entered. This will be included in the cancellation email sent to the customer.

Order marked as cancelled.

The payment status and shipment status of the order will be set to cancelled, which on the order list is shown as a red circle with white fill.
